How did the Nazi's use the Hindenberg for propaganda?

They used it as a symbol of a re-vitalized Germany. It was a similar thing to the US using the "Great White Fleet" to spread US influence in the Pacific. They had this magnificent airship that toured all over Europe, all the while building German influence. It exposed the world to the red flag with the swastika. Few people could deny that Germany had come back to life after WW1 and showed signs of greatness. Keep in mind, this was before anybody had heard of concentration camps or 'the final solution'. Adolf Hitler still held respect among World leaders. Afterall, he had resurrected a destitute Germany and made them into a world power once again. Being a fan of German technology was fashionable, at the time. So, the Hindenburg was an extremely useful tool to spread evidence of Germany's 'greatness' all over the world.
