yes, take it out and put a smaller one in, say medium or super. try medium but with a sanitary towel on as well in case it doesn't do to well. Also, don't just leave it in 8 hours for the fun of it, take it out within 5 hours if possible, 8 hours is long enough for the risks for TSS to grow.
