Is leaving a package of unopened plastic bottles of water in the car/heat safe to drink?

I bought a large package of brand-new bottles of water and accidentally left them in my car for the past two days. I live in Arizona so it's been getting to 108+ degrees here lately. I've heard that exposing plastic water bottles to extreme heat can release toxins from the plastic into the water though there are some stipulations are to what types of plastic do these. If it helps, the water bottles are made of #1 plastic (PET). So am I safe for my daughter and I to drink these waters or should they be discarded?
