How can i increase the growth of algae in my fish tank so my snails and shrimp could have ample supply?

Personally i give my shrimp & snails sinking foods like broken bits of algae wafers, catfish pellets and even weighted slices of cucumber. My tank is algae-free but my shrimp & snails (i have Amano Shrimp & Apple Snails) thrive because of this. They may be scavengers but they still do best with their own food ^_^v .
