So have the US made up their minds yet on who/what Osama BL was then?

Bin Laden was 54 so I wouldn't have called him old. He was dangerous and still is even though he's now dead and that's because of what he represents. I don't think the US can get it's story straight on this one but that's not the fault of the average American and has nothing to do with their intelligence, it's their government and security services that are at fault. Most of their politicians couldn't lie straight even in their own beds.
