Carleton/Ryerson for University?
I'm planning on applying to those two for the Journalism programs, and I'm a little worried whether I will be accepted or not. I'm an IB student, and I wrote for the school newspaper for grade nine and ten until it closed because the teacher running it left. Now, I write as a part of the Junior Journalism Program for the Toronto Star, so far I have had two articles published and have two being edited. As well, I received a silver medal in my regional science fair and a bronze medal as well as two scholarships (to Western and Ottawa) at the Canada Wide Science Fair. Does this sound like enough and do either of them even care about extracurriculars? Or is it mainly grades? If so, I'm barely scraping an 80%, but I do have a 96% in one subject, and I heard Carleton takes your top marks. Anyway, back to my original question; does this sound ample enough to get into those schools and are there any tips you can give me?
